We're playing turnbased games. Time between turns is called turnaround time. You will have to submit orders before the deadline of each turn. After the deadline passes the game will get processed and new results will be generated and the next deadline is set. Processing will take some time, usually you will receive the results by email the day after the deadline.

Turnaround times

Most games have a turnaround of 1 week.  Order deadlines are usually in the weekend, saturday night 21:00 GMT. Some games have a two week turn around but starts with a turnaround of 1 week for the first five (or ten turns). Meaning after turn 5 (or 10) the game goes into a two week deadline.

Receiving and downloading results

Some people have problems receiving email from us. No real worry! Your results can always be downloaded from the site. You will need your email adress and password to gain access to the download area: http://download.turn2turn.com.

Time needed to play

During the first game you will need to learn (use the kickstart!). Once you are used to the orders you can usually make order real quick. Up till the first 10 turns this will take you something from 10 minutes up to half an hour.

Usually the action gets more intense after some 10 turns which means you will need more time to play and plan your next move. Also your realm grows (if you're doing well :) which means you need to manage more armies and probably need to deal with more enemies.

Things can get really time intensive whenever you grow big and manage to reach turn 20 and up. I've played a game where I would need 2+ hours to play my position around turn 25. Simply because my realm consisted of 30+ armies, some hundred settlements and was among the best ranking players.

Players that are High Priest usually spend more time with the game for they often handle diplomacy on a higher level (communicating with other HP's).

XML results and Tools

The download area also allows you to download xml version of your results. This xml versions is a more technical result which can be used by other programs. For example Tholmir made a great application that allows you to view your results in a different manner. Such tools are also available from the download section.
